Established in 1973, and has just completed it’s 50th year in Service. Velden is now widely regarded as one of the best sub-contract facilities offering total engineering solutions within the UK. Simple components, to complex assemblies and turn-key projects are all within our capability.
What we did...
As a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) in the UK, we were entrusted with the crucial task of transforming Velden’s vision into a reality. The Industry 4.0 Manufacturing Hub stands as a testament to our dedication to excellence and cutting-edge technology.
Our team, led by Lee Roby, Managing Director, and Phillip Mallalieu, Director of Installations and Security, worked closely with Ray Newton, IT & Systems Manager at Velden, on this project to understand the objectives and requirements. Above all. we provided expert advice and guidance during the project. By all means ensuring that every aspect of the hub aligned with Velden’s vision. One of the key components of the project involved the installation of new network cabling with CAT6 data points, a task that we certainly executed with precision and efficiency.
Velden’s design and specification required the installation of all data and power runs to be fitted in Charcoal (Black) trunking containment. Lee and Phil worked closely with Ray on the CAD designs of the building’s structure. Finally, this ensured the fit and finish were all done to a very high standard. Additionally, we fitted all electrical sockets and components with a brand-new power distribution board, including a bespoke hand-made ceiling-suspended LED Dextra track lighting system tailored specifically for Velden.

The Industry 4.0 Manufacturing Hub is more than just physical space; it’s the cornerstone of Velden’s future success. This new space will allow communication and information within the factory to flow efficiently and to be further enhanced within Velden. Velden are looking forward to the next phase of moving newly invested equipment and key members of the Velden team into the I4MHub. We at Lansafe are proud to have played a role in it’s creation and are confident that it will propel Velden to new heights in the years to come.
